The book
The ACCORD PNEUMATIC System
From the invention to worldwide application. 224 pages, written by the engineer who was there – from the first hand sketch to the wide-area seed drill.
Helmut Weiste began this book in 2012, “for engineers and for anyone with a professional interest: on the one hand because so little is known about the extent of the basic developments and the variety of the applications; on the other, to report on the problems and risks our family business faced in bringing them to market.”
The result is both: a technical record with patent specifications, measurement series, sales statistics and design drawings – and a frank account of a company that twice came close to the end, and of a father-and-son conflict that was never entirely resolved.
