Terms and conditions

These terms govern the purchase of the digital edition of the book “The ACCORD PNEUMATIC System” through this website. They are deliberately short – exactly one product is sold here.

This is a translation for your convenience. The contract is concluded in German, and the German version of these terms (Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen) is the binding one.

1. Seller

Arno Weiste, Anton-Engels-Strasse 49, 50389 Wesseling, Germany.
E-mail: info@weiste.de. Further details in the imprint.

2. What is being sold

The book “The ACCORD PNEUMATIC System. From the invention to worldwide application” by Helmut Weiste (224 pages, originally published in 2013 by Landwirtschaftsverlag, ISBN 978-3-7843-5278-7) as a PDF file for download. One purchase includes both language editions – German and English – as two separate files of roughly 19 MB in total. No physical medium is shipped.

3. How the contract comes about

The presentation on the book page is not yet a binding offer but an invitation to order. The sequence:

  1. You tick the box confirming that delivery shall begin immediately (see right of withdrawal) and click “Buy with PayPal”.
  2. You complete the payment in the PayPal window. This constitutes a binding offer.
  3. The contract is concluded as soon as the payment is confirmed and the page shows you the download buttons. You also receive a confirmation by e-mail.

The text of the contract is not stored separately and cannot be retrieved through this website afterwards. The confirmation e-mail contains all essential details; please keep it. The language of the contract is German.

4. Price and payment

The price shown is a final price. There are no shipping costs. Under section 19 of the German VAT Act (§ 19 UStG) no value added tax is charged and none is shown.

Payment is made through PayPal, whose own terms apply in addition; the payment itself takes place in their window. Which data are transmitted is explained in the privacy notice.

5. Delivery

Immediately after payment, two download buttons appear on the page. The link is valid for 48 hours and can be used several times; the exact number is stated in your confirmation e-mail. Please download the files straight away and keep them safe.

You need a device that can display PDF files and sufficient storage. The files carry no copy protection and no personal watermark.

If the download fails, or the period expires before you managed to save the files, a short e-mail to info@weiste.de is enough – you will then receive the files directly.

6. What you may do with the files

You acquire the right to use the files for your own purposes: to read, store, back up and print them for yourself. The work is protected by copyright. Passing the files on to third parties, publishing them online, reselling them and using them in file-sharing networks are not permitted.

Quoting with attribution is of course allowed within the customary limits. For the use of illustrations in your own publications, please ask.

7. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a right of withdrawal. For digital content it expires early if you expressly consent to immediate delivery, confirm your knowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal – which is precisely what the tick box before the purchase is for – and delivery then actually begins. Until that moment the right exists. Details and the model withdrawal form are on the right of withdrawal page.

8. Defects and liability

Statutory warranty rights apply. If a file is incomplete, damaged or unreadable, please write to info@weiste.de; you will receive a sound copy or your money back.

I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. In the case of ordinary negligence I am liable only for the breach of material contractual obligations and limited in amount to the foreseeable damage typical of such contracts. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

9. Final provisions

German law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.

I am neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
