Right of withdrawal

For consumers. A consumer is any natural person who concludes the purchase for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession.

This is a translation for your convenience. The German version (Widerrufsbelehrung) is the binding one.

The essential point

If you tick the box before purchase confirming that the download shall begin immediately, your right of withdrawal expires as soon as delivery begins. This is what the law provides for digital content – and it is the reason you receive the files at once, without waiting.

So why does this page still explain how to withdraw? Because the right does not disappear through the tick box alone, but only once delivery actually begins. Until then it exists – and in the cases where it remains, you need to know how to exercise it.

When the right still applies

As a rule your right of withdrawal expires immediately after payment, because the files are made available to you at the same moment. It remains in place if that does not happen, for example:

  • The payment went through, but the download buttons never appeared.
  • The download failed every time and the files never reached you.
  • You completed the purchase without the box being ticked – not technically possible as the page is built, but nothing is ever ruled out.

In such cases a short message to info@weiste.de is usually all it takes: you will either receive the files or get your money back – without a form and without deadlines.

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform me

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example a letter sent by post or an e-mail). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, I shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which I am informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. I will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

Early expiry of the right of withdrawal

Your right of withdrawal in a contract for the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium expires if I have begun performance of the contract after you have

  1. expressly consented to my beginning the performance of the contract before the end of the withdrawal period, and
  2. acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins.

You confirm both by ticking the box that has to be set before the purchase. Your confirmation is recorded together with the time and repeated in the confirmation e-mail.
